What is Success?

Today I want to inquire about the idea of success. What does success look like to you?

Is it financial freedom? The ability to buy whatever you need, whenever you need it. I remember days of walking around with holes in my shoes during winter snow storms! The idea that if your car breaks down or your furnace goes kaput it’s ok. You have a cozy security blanket to snuggle into.

Is it travel? New experiences feed the soul, release your imagination and expand the heart a bit don’t they?

Is it the ability to spend more precious time with your loved ones? Homecooked family dinners, large holiday gatherings, and daily walks of exploration all sound lovely. Don’t you think?

For me, it seems to be all of these things. I want my daughter to grow up and have memories of holidays surrounded by those who love her. With most of our family living at least an hour or two away, I need the freedom of time and money to spend those valuable moments together. The freedom of time to spend homeschooling/unschooling my daughter so she can grow into a smart, resourceful human being who values the well being of others as much as her own. Another caretaker of the planet.

How do we reach these goals as working moms? Do you blog? Offer Book keeping services? Are you a Virtual Administrative Consultant? Are you an Accountant? Do you work from home? Whatever you do, I am sure you are amazing. I am here to tell you that you ARE successful right where you are. Your life may not be all of these things yet, but the fact that you are even trying to work towards these goals says something huge about how special you are.
